The Community College Research Center reports that students attending two-year colleges have a significantly higher dropout rate than those at four-year institutions.
First-generation students face significant academic and financial barriers, with only 27% completing a bachelor’s degree within four years (Pew Research Center).

Mental health is a growing concern among college students. A study by the American College Health Association (ACHA) found that 40% of undergraduate students experience moderate to severe depression, and 15% have seriously considered suicide. A number that has risen to 48% post-COVID.
Additionally, 37% of college students are diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, underscoring the need for mental health awareness and accessible resources (National Institute of Mental Health).
